- We were the first fully licensed Aboriginal-owned community radio station in the Kimberley.
- We broadcast over a 300km radius with a potential listening audience in excess of 8,000 people.
- We have FM translators at the Argyle Mine, Wyndham and Warmun.
- We also operate Tourist Radio for visitors to Kununurra.
Our programming
- 6WR is 'The Voice of the East Kimberley', providing listeners with entertainment, companionship and up-to-date community information 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- 6WR is a trusted source for local news, public affairs and weather forecasts.
- 6WR's music, interview and documentary programs are produced almost exclusively by local citizens in one of our three modern Kununurra studios.
- 6WR's highly successful programming format of Country Hits and Gold 'n' Classics owes much to our ongoing program research and contact with our audience to become a household and "in car" favourite.
