6WR is a successful locally owned Indigenous Media Organisation committed to achieving excellence in radio broadcasting. In more than 24 years of delivering full-time 24/7 operation, we have racked up the continuing loyalty of thousands of Kununurra-East Kimberley listeners.

Waringarri Radio broadcasts to the major towns and remote grazing and outback communities of Australia's East Kimberley region, which straddles the West Australian and Northern Territory border. Such towns and communities include Kununurra, Wyndham, Warmun, Oombulgurri, El Questro, Home Valley, Yarralin, Wadeye, Pulumpa, Peppimentari, Diggers Rest, Argyle Mine and Timber Creek. Waringarri Radio 6WR has a powerful reach, covering a radious of 300k around Kununurra.

6WR can also be heard early in the mornings via the PAKAM network, which covers geographically, half of Western Australia.
